A Letter to Jacqi

November 15, 2025

Grand-mére,

I know you're watching, listening. I've done everything I can. I don't know what comes next. I love you, and I'm sorry you never got to witness your music breathe into the world. I can feel the way you carried equal parts joy and terror—the profound weight of raising three children alone while watching a dream slip away. Holding your nightmare deep inside so it wouldn't touch the lives around you.

I feel your pain, and I wonder if it's what shaped your quietness. Thankyou for leaving me gems to mine. I refuse to let you vanish into the forgotten.

I'm tired, but I'm ready.
